Like all our fine products, each Covered Deer Feeder is completely
handcrafted from the finest western red cedar, Appalachian mountain hardwoods
and assembled with solid brass screws throughout. Each feeder then receives an application of our proprietary penetrating oil finish, which is not lightly wiped on.

Are they easy to assemble and install?
All Hurley-Byrd Covered Deer Feeders are simple to assemble. A screwdriver is the only tool
required to complete the near fully assembled roof. The remainder of the feeder is assembled using
carriage bolts, washers and wing nuts. The carriage bolts and wing nuts allow for easy disassemble
of the feeder for roof adjustment or storage and then reassembly on a later date.

Covered Deer Feeders
are crafted using our Extra Large
36" or Ultra Large 48" trough with
capacities of 25 or 35 pounds.
The trough sets at a perfect 24"
height so all your deer, even
the babies, feed comfortably.
The roof is 18" wide, 48" or 60"
in length and its height above the
trough adjusts from 13", 17 1/2" or 20"
to help protect the trough's contents
from rain and falling snows.
The roof and its supporting legs
can easily be removed and
stored when desired.
All this stands on 24” Western
Red Cedar feet with strong hardwood
diagonal supports. Each foot has two
spiking holes to help secure the feeder in place with 4 landscaping
spikes, which are provided.
Free Standing Covered Deer Feeders are best used when you desire the ability to move the feeder from one location to another or as a feeder which can be stored away completely when needed. Of the two feeders listed here, the free standing model is more prone to blowing over in heavy winds but when spiked to the ground, it rarely topples. Obviously, it's the easiest to set up and simplest to move about the yard.

model above except they come with
36" legs that are buried in the ground
12” to 14" setting the trough at a
comfortable 22” to 24” feeding height.
No diagonal supports or feet needed.

feeder available. We recommend
this feeder when you know the
exact location you wish to establish a
feeding station and the feeder
will remain there.
